One of my clients’ primary concerns, and rightfully so, is how long they will be without a driver’s license. The loss of a license can be worse than three days in jail for some people – without a license they cannot do their job, provide for their families, or meet other personal obligations that they have. If you are concerned about driving privileges it is important to hire an Akron DUI Attorney to handle your case.
There are a number of considerations that go into how quickly you can obtain driving privileges or your license back completely. It is typically a very difficult matter, to get a license all the way back. The police officers would have had to have made one of several mistakes. These are the types of mistakes we look for in evaluating your case, and getting your license back.
If we are not able to get your license back immediately we need to evaluate how quickly we can get it back for you. Typially, on a first offense you are looking at up to a 30 day window without any driving privileges. If you have refused a breath test, or tested over a 0.17 on a breath test, you have a minimum of 30 days without driving up to a full year. If you tested between a 0.08 and .169 you have no privileges for 15 days up to 90 days.
